In both 2024 and 2026, I had the honor of collaborating with the University of Notre Dame, Illinois, USA, by contributing photographs of my paintings as illustrations for the Virtues & Vocations: Higher Education for Human Flourishing magazine. These images were selected to accompany essays and reflections in the magazine — a unique academic and creative partnership that bridges visual art with conversations about character, purpose, and professional life.
Virtues & Vocations is a publication hosted by the Institute for Social Concerns at the University of Notre Dame. It serves as a national forum for scholars and practitioners across disciplines who are interested in exploring how virtues — such as courage, generosity, civility, and meaning — intersect with higher education, professional identity, and human flourishing. The magazine features thoughtful essays, interviews, and original artwork that provoke reflection and inspire deeper engagement with what it means to live a purposeful life within one’s work and vocation.
The magazine is published twice a year and often focuses on a central theme such as Generosity, Meaningful Work, or Civility and Courage. Each issue brings together multidisciplinary voices — from educators and physicians to engineers and philosophers — in dialogue about how character and moral purpose shape professional education and community life.
Below you’ll find screenshots from the Virtues & Vocations issues where my artwork is published — a visual testament to this special collaboration with Notre Dame.
